Volunteer Opportunities

  • PAWED office work (requires PAWED membership for 6 months and training class prior to volunteering)
  • Exercise, socialize, and groom pets at the El Dorado County Animal Shelter in Placerville* (requires training class with PAWED prior to volunteering)
  • Assisting PAWED with dog/cat adoption events* (requires training class)
  • Providing foster care for a shelter pet (requires foster home application and approval with a local shelter)
  • Fund raising
  • Special events
  • COMMITTEES
  • Work projects to improve shelter facilities

*These activities require strength/ability to manage untrained animals and lift at least 25 pounds
