The New Shelter site alternatives A and B have been identified. The location of the two alternate sites alluded to at last week’s Board of Supervisors meeting were made public on Friday, as an item on the Board’s consent calendar. It directs staff to begin negotiations with the property owners of the two alternate sites: 1) 4130 Product Drive, Shingle Springs and 2) 6425 Capital Avenue in Diamond Springs .
PAWED representatives have visited both locations and have specific
questions and concerns about each site. We will continue to advocate for a permanent animal shelter that meets the “guiding principles” that PAWED has consistently promoted since 2005. PAWED will continue to update its website with briefs on new developments as soon as possible. For more detailed updates, please visit the Shelter Coalition website www.newshelternow.org. Thank you.
